Solution Architecture
Meters (for electricity, water, heat, etc.) are installed at the client’s location and connected to a communication device (LTE modem with a dedicated SIM card). Depending on the needs, we use the client’s meters or install new ones.
Applications
smartMETERS works with various types of metering systems—for example, billing with tenants, at the main supply of a facility, or at balancing nodes. Data can be read from meters of various utilities, such as:
- Water meters with a wire M-bus interface and pulse output (via pulse counter)
- Gas meters with a wire M-bus interface and pulse output (via pulse counter)
- Heat meters with a wire M-bus interface and pulse output (via pulse counter)
- Electricity meters with wire M-bus, Modbus RTU (RS485), IEC (RS485), DLMS (RS485) interfaces
- Pulse counters with a Modbus (RS485) interface
- Others
What are the implementation and usage costs?
The cost is one-time and includes the adaptation of the system/devices with the necessary components and implementation work:
- 4G LTE communication module
- Optionally: converters + programmable controller, port servers, cabinets for communication modules, communication cabling
- Installation, connection, programming, configuration, and commissioning of the installed equipment
- System setup and configuration
Adding users is free. Users do not bear any costs related to system maintenance, administration, or infrastructure upkeep. The reading server and smartMETERS platform are located at ANDRA’s premises. The service is billed through a monthly subscription.
